This is a list of Cardiff City Football Club's managers and their records, from 1910, when the club appointed their first manager.
Founded in 1899, Cardiff City did not appoint their first full-time manager in 1910 when Davy McDougall was appointed player-manager.[1] As of the start of the 2010–11 season, there has been a total of 26 managers and 6 caretaker managers. Kenny Hibbitt has had the most spells at the club, taking the job on 3 occasions. Whilst some managers (Len Ashurst, Eddie May, Cyril Spiers) have all had the job on two occasions. The longest serving manager is Fred Stewart who was in charge for 22 years and won 7 cups and achieved promotion twice. In terms of winning percentage, Billy McCandless is the most successful with a win percentage of 53% whilst the least successful is Terry Yorath with 19.51%.
Information correct as of 2 January 2012. Only competitive matches are counted. Wins, losses and draws are results at the final whistle; the results of penalty shoot-outs are not counted.
